HOW TO ROCK THE PAJAMA WEAR TREND
Okay, let’s be real, who doesn’t love being in their pajamas? This year, designers took wearing pajamas to a whole new level of glam. Victoria Beckham, Alexander Wang, Alexander McQueen are just a few of the designer power houses who have debuted this look on the runway. From effortlessly cool robes, to chic and sexy silk tanks and pants, this is definitely one of our favorite trends to keep transitioning into spring fashion. We saw everyone from Rihanna to Jessica Alba to Gigi Hadid rocking this effortlessly chic look. It all has a very 90’s vibe to it, which I have to admit, I’m kind of loving!
Both Cyn and I totally jumped on this silky trend this season, and we both have been really into rocking a silk duster because they instantly make an otherwise bland outfit interesting. I love a silk robe because I feel like it makes my outfit look professionally styled, and Cyn jokes that she’s into it because she doesn’t have to change in the morning when dropping off the kids at school! Two very different takes on this trend, but both with chic results!
So how do you wear this look without literally looking like you belong in bed? It’s all in the accessories! These silky blue looks that Cyn and I chose to wear are perfect for transitioning a look from day to night. They are casual enough to be worn to a meeting, but can also be great for a night out. Work with your accessories to set the tone of the look. Try pairing your look with heels and a great handbag if you want to be out on the town. If you’re going for a more casual vibe, then go minimal on jewelry, try it with your hair up, and pair with sandals.
When you wear the PJ trend, the outfit really speaks for itself so remember that less is more! Our looks are above are from Michelle Mason, but there are a ton of gorgeous PJ looks out there that also won’t blow your entire wardrobe budget. Both pieces can be dressed up or down — Wear them with heels and a dress, or shorts and a tank, either way you will be perfectly on-trend!
