I am so excited to share with y’all my wedding prep diary! On July 29th, 2017 I married the man of my dreams, and had the most special day of my life! We had a pretty incredible few months leading up to the wedding too … Below are some of my favorite memories and experiences from planning my dream day! Hope you enjoy!
THE BACHELORETTE PARTY … I had the most playful Bachelorette party in Santa Barbara dressing up in our favorite super hero costumes. My 20 girlfriends and I took over a local area known as the 'The Funk Zone'.
BRIDAL MAKEUP TRIAL WITH EMMA WILLIS … Emma Willis is a master at her craft. I had a blast creating the perfect bridal look for my big day. We decided on sun kissed skin with a bronzed smokey eye. I wanted to feel fresh and clean, with a bit of sparkle for my special day. I loved the look we created!
PICKING OUT FLOWERS AT SEED FLORAL … The colors of our wedding were blush, grey and copper. I wanted to chose flowers that fit our color scheme. I also had a dream of a hanging flower installations, copper terrariums, and tons of candles from the ceiling. Stephanie at Seed Floral and my wedding planner charley King from Blue Bell Events helped design the most elegant wedding florals. To save money and add our own personal touch, my sister and I like to add DIY projects to any celebration. We added copper foil to our vases and candles to create some additional more elegance and style.
DRESS SHOPPING … My sister Cynthia was so patient with me as I looked high and low for my perfect wedding gown. Then one day the amazing dress designer Trish Peng rode in on a white horse (rather sent a a beautiful town car), to whisk me off for my dream wedding gown experience. Trish Peng created the most perfect wedding gown for my big day!
PRE WEDDING WORKOUTS …. To get wedding fit I of course enjoyed working out with my best buddy, Cyn. I decided it would be good to take my workouts up a notch, so I consulted with the great Jeanette Jenkins. She helped create a quick and efficient workout plan for me. My ultimate goal was to feel healthy and strong on my wedding day. I wanted to gain a bit of muscle mass, and lean out just a little bit. We focused on interval training — Lots of super sets!
MY BRIDAL LUNCHEON …. My amazing girlfriends Heather Netzer and Ruby Gettinger threw me the most amazing bridal lunch at Rose Café in Venice. What made it so fun was it was lingerie inspired. No Cuisinart® gifts were given here ... Needless to say the party games got pretty interesting. LOL! It was so fun to celebrate with everyone from my high school friends, to my dear cast-mate and friend from The Game, Tia Mowry.
